Moroff on Scarif

Description: Behind the scenes photos and footage of Moroff (played by Ian Whyte) and Pao on what is either The Maldives 'Scarif set' or on the Pinewood Studios (UK) 'Scarif set'.

Notes: Toy description - Moroff seeks out combat zones in the galaxy to sell his brawn and firepower to anyone who might need it. Not interested in the details of the Empire versus rebels conflict, the mighty Gigoran mercenary figures there's money to be made for a towering heavy gunner of great strength.

Speculation: The behind the scenes photos and footage of Moroff on Scarif are a result of:

a.) The character that became Moroff was originally a rebel named Senna, The Art of Rogue One book features an illustration 'COMPUTER THEFT VERSION 2 - by Christian Alzmann' showing a version of Senna carrying an Imperial computer down an Imperial corridor on what would become Scarif. It's possible that Senna / Moroff was originally a part of the rebel force on Scarif that would have helped with the theft of the death star plans in some way? Perhaps the character suit was deemed to difficult to work in a beach environment, running through water etc. With the character then eventually being repurposed as part of Saw Gerrera's Partisans?

b.) The behind the scenes footage and photos are not from the shoot on The Maldives but from the beech set built at Pinewood Studios (UK) - it's possible this was a costume test or the character being prepared for shooting on an adjoining set, such as the Jedha market set, or perhaps the reshoots involving the new introduction for Bodhi Rook on Jedha.

c.) Moroff as one of Saw Gerrera's Partisans was able to somehow join the rebels on Scarif.

Personally I think the character of Moroff was originally meant to be part of the rebel forces, but the costume was deemed to difficult to work with on the Scarif set(s) and the character was reworked to be part of Saw Gerreras' Partisans.
